Mother Teresa said, "The poor do not need our sympathy or our pity. the poor need our love and compassion. Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love."
This was SO awesome to be a part of and to document and I hope to participate over and over again!!
Care Cuts is an organization that started in May of 2015, it started with just 10 people wanting to help the homeless, and what I think it has become is so wonderful and so compassionate. Everyone here donated their services, time and clothing to a wonderful cause. This included hair washing, cuts, styling, make up nails painted, clothing donations and food donations. I was one of five photographers who was blessed enough to capture it and be able to share it with you.
You can find more information about this on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/carecuts/
A REALLY cool part of this is that a lot of people in my family volunteered to help in this! My step dad, aunt and cousins cut hair and barber, and painted nails, my Mom, husband and step brother all participated in clothing donations!

The best part of this whole thing was watching the hair washing/scalp massages, you could just see the relief washing over them.
